Citizens: No plans here. Colleagues have the ability to donate and utilize matching gift to double their personal contribution.
BC&BS: We are not planning anything at this point.

Rhode Island Flood
(March 2010) Many Rhode Islanders have been displaced after the disasterous flood at the end of March. In just one day, the United Way of Rhode Island has attracted at least $500,000 in contributions to a new Rhode Island Flood Recovery Fund aimed at meeting needs not covered by federal government programs or private insurance.
Donors include Amgen, the Rhode Island Foundation, and the United Way itself, which each contributed $100,000 to the fund. Brown University contributed $50,000.
Other contributors include Amica Insurance, $35,000, and FM Global and Cox Communications, $25,000 each; National Grid and Textron, $20,000 each; Washington Trust, $15,000, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, $10,000. Chile and Haiti Disaster Relief Resources Available
(January 2010) In response to the recent crisis situation in Chile and Haiti, we have posted various grantmaking resources for disaster response, relief and recovery on the GCRI website and will update it as new resources become available.
We encourage GCRI members to keep us informed of any actions your organization has taken to provide assistance in Chili and Haiti.
